Rapman’s 'Blue Story' has been shortlisted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts for its 'Outstanding British Debut' category.

The outstanding British debut category highlights exceptional films made by a British writer, director or producer, with 'Blue Story' up against nine other films including 'Only You', 'Bait', 'Retablo' and more.

Since its release, the film has become a UK box office smash by grossing £1.3m on the film's opening weekend, despite Vue and Showcase controversially pulling the film from all their venues on Sunday, November 25.

The shortlist, five nominations and final winner are all decided by a jury, with the winner set to be announced on February 2nd 2020 during the award ceremony for the BAFTAs.
