Djibril Cissé and BAARA have just teamed up, with the former French star fronting the brand's upcoming collection for SS25.
Having recently walked for Y-3 and starring in C.P. Company's latest campaign, the forefather of football-fashion continues to turn heads. A link-up with BAARA just makes sense, with the Paris-based label known for releases infused with a football-inspired flair, and this summer's drop stays true to that reputation.
Cissé takes the spotlight wearing a selection of pieces set to release, with several nodding back to the beautiful game. While most items arrive in either black or white, almost all are accented with Pan-African blocks and gradients, paying tribute to the diasporic roots of label founders El-Bassem Aby and Abdoul-Karim Dabo.
Standouts from the drop include a sleeveless leather jacket, ribbed knit polo, and a set of sportswear pieces that adopt the in-vogue aesthetic of the early '00s. Both a tracksuit and tee serve up multiple nods to Nike's Total 90 franchise, including a centralised crest, circular number print, and small logo stamped on the sleeve.
The rest of the collection has been teased via BAARA's Instagram, ranging from graphic and ringer tees to jerseys and accessories, with more expected to feature.
The BAARA SS25 collection will be available from June 28 online and also via an exclusive pop-up in Paris.
