Umbro are set to reunite with Argentinian-British designer Aitor Throup, nearly 14 years since their last collaboration.

Despite shaping the future of football fashion through collections with Supreme, Palace and others, the Double Diamond's latest link-up sees them reunite with a collaborator of the past in Throup, who first worked with the brand on England's 2010 World Cup kits released as part of the 'Tailored by Umbro' collection.

Renowned for his minimalist and immersive approach to fashion, Throup has worked with other brands including Stone Island, C.P. Company and Nike, while also taking leading creative roles at G-Star RAW.

The cutting-edge capsule is set to transform the perception of performance apparel, leaning into looks from across the beautiful game. It's likely to follow a similar path to the 'Archive Research Project', their last collaboration in 2011, which transformed Umbro training wear items of the past through Throup's forward-thinking vision.

Scheduled for a Spring 2026 release, the capsule, unsurprisingly, will launch in partnership with fellow brand collaborator Slam Jam — the Italian streetwear giants partly responsible for Umbro's resurgence in recent years.

No official details on the collection have released yet, so keep it locked to VERSUS as more news arrives.
