Jordan is rumoured to be designing Brazil's away kit for the 2026 World Cup.

The collaboration with the Nike label comes after Brazil signed terms with the Swoosh for a further 12 years, taking their partnership into a fourth decade.

The move marks the second time the two have worked together, having released a special-edition shirt back in 2016 — the first time the Jordan brand stepped into the beautiful game. But while that shirt never featured on the pitch, this one will take to the biggest stage football has to offer.

According to Footy Headlines, the shirt is set to invert the black and red design from nine years ago, stepping away from the country's usual alternate colours of green or royal blue. As has been the case with previous Jordan releases, the usual Swoosh branding will be replaced by the Jumpman motif.

The red design might come as a shock to some, but the rumoured release pays homage to Brazil kits from the 20th century. Between 1917 and 1919, the Brazil national team wore the colour red in official matches, including during the 1917 South American Championship which is now known as Copa América.

After working with PSG since 2018, it's about time Jordan officially staked their claim on the international scene. The Seleção's World Cup kits have always been iconic, but a link-up with one of culture's biggest brands could take things to another level.

No official details or images of the Jordan x Brazil kit have been released, in the meantime, keep it locked to VERSUS to find out more.
