Liverpool frontman Roberto Firmino has just donated £60,000 to save the lives of two young fans with a rare genetic disease.

Bobby and his wife, Larissa Pereira, donated the final chunk of money needed for fans Joao de Amorim, 6, and 11-month-old Miguel de Amorim to receive a year's treatment for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) - with the total costing £825,000.

The children's parents Alex Jose de Amorim and Gracieli Schlemmer, based in Brazil's Santa Catarina province, hoped to raise donations after appealing on social media for help towards their essential but expensive treatment.

After being £59,132 short of their target, Firmino and his wife Larissa heard of the struggle via Spanish paper Marca and decided to donate the final amount required to save the children's lives.

Bobby dazzler: what a guy.

In other news, Danny Rose has said he has been overwhelmed with the response to him opening up about his battle with depression.
