Reign Storm and VERSUS linked up to take over Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge for a grassroots women’s football tournament like no other — bringing together 10 of the best teams across the UK and Europe.
From London to Malmö and Dublin, the line-up was stacked with some of the most talented teams on the continent. Romance FC, FC Möllan, Phoenix FC and more brought technique and tactics to one of English football’s most historic grounds in a bid to take home the trophy.
Players arrived through the iconic East Stand, picked up Reign Storm gift bags from the press room — packed with the brand's immunity-boosting, zero sugar, clean energy drinks — and prepped for the tournament in Chelsea’s official changing rooms before heading pitchside.
Former England and Chelsea goalkeeper Carly Telford welcomed the teams ahead of kick-off, with sides battling it out in two mini-leagues — the top four advanced to knockouts where Wonderkid FC eventually edged She’s Got Skills UK on penalties to be crowned champions. FC Möllan beat South London Laces to take third place with Emma Watson winning Player of the Tournament for being the ultimate hypewoman.
With the biggest summer in European women’s football on the horizon, the Reign Storm tournament showcased exactly why the grassroots scene is the heartbeat of the game. And demonstrated the kind of active, energy-packed lifestyle the brand’s all about — clean, no-nonsense and built for people always pushing for more.
Salute to the VERSUS community for coming through and bringing the energy, quality and passion that continues to push women’s football forward.
