Linkin Park have been announced as the headline act for the UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi next month.
The band will play the annual show before the final at the Allianz Arena in Munich, home to Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, on May 31 with a setlist including classics like “In The End”, “One Step Closer” and a new, remixed version of their 4X Platinum hit “Numb” inspired by Champions League football.
The iconic American band returned in 2024 after a seven year hiatus following the tragic passing of former frontman Chester Bennington. Their ‘From Zero’ album reached No.1 globally, and in the same year, they became the only rock band to surpass 2 billion streams.
When asked about performing at the UEFA Champions League final, Linkin Park said: “This marks a totally new experience for us as a band, and we're excited to share some of our favourite songs from the past and present, with the thousands in the crowd and millions watching around the world."
The Pepsi Kick Off Show has seen the likes of Dua Lipa, Camila Cabello, Burna Boy, Anitta and Lenny Kravitz take to the stage as headline acts in recent years. From pop and Afrobeats to reggaeton and rock. Linkin Park have officially written their name into football's history books.
