Nike have linked up with Tiakola to drop a collaborative Total 90 jersey.
Inspired by the La Mélo's Bienvenue Dans Le Milieu (Welcome To The Game) mixtape, the Swoosh have unveiled a release that serves as a love letter to the the flair of inner-city culture, paying tribute to intersections between music and football, and the roots which the likes of Tiakola have grown from.
For the launch, Nike tap two of Les Bleus' best from the past and present, with Franck Ribery and William Saliba featuring in the campaign. The long-sleeved jersey not only arrives with a message, but a surprise, too, featuring a reversible design that produces two vibrant looks which fit the Total 90 mould perfectly.
On one side, a striking yellow, orange and black gradient features, with a large Nike swoosh stretched across the torso. A pinstripe effect is created by repeat text, calling back to the campaign's message, while a centralised crest blends the BDLM and T90 identities, topped with two stars to represent France's World Cup wins.
The other side takes a more traditional approach to the T90 aesthetic, from the piping and branding to contrast panelling. On the left arm, an armband-style print reads 'Rien Sans Rien'/Nothing Without Nothing, a saying that represents resilience and authenticity, and both jerseys are completed with product tags stylised like Nike's versions from the '90s.
The Nike x BDLM Total 90 jersey is available from July 11 via the SNKRS app.
