adidas just dropped Lionel Messi's latest signature F50, with a design inspired by the past.
The F50 'Prestig10' arrives with an all-new look, one infused with the aesthetic of adidas' iconic F50 Tunit models from 2007 to 2009 — some of the earliest Messi wore for the Three Stripes.
Featuring several nods to the original models, the design includes a black wave graphic that sweeps over the white and silver Fibretouch upper. The graphic ends towards the forefoot, changing into red three-stripe branding, with ‘Messi’ and ‘F50’ wordmarks stamped on the lateral and medial sides, respectively.
Messi’s signature logo is printed on the heel, with the boots featuring several features tailor-made for him, including a ‘burrito style’ tongue that offers comfort and compression to keep him locked down. adidas’ Sprintframe 360 soleplate offers speed and stability in all directions, with a shimmering look that fades from iridescent hues of red and pink into silver.
The release also features a signature apparel collection, including a black and red Teamgeist trackie and boot-inspired shirt. Messi is set to debut the boots in the build-up to this summer's FIFA Club World Cup, with other stars from his +10 community — including Lamine Yamal, Vicky Lopez and Claudio Echeverri — also taking to the pitch in them in the coming weeks.
The adidas Lionel Messi F50 ‘Prestig10’ is available now via adidas and select retailers.
