Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to pay a club record €35m fee for Birmingham baller Jude Bellingham this summer.
The teenage sensation has hit the ground running since breaking into the senior side at his boyhood club, breaking Trevor Francis’ 49-year record as Birmingham’s youngest ever appearance-maker (16y 38d) earlier this season.
Sportbild report that personal terms have already been agreed with the 16-year-old and only "minor details" require completion, with Dortmund poised to complete a €35m deal for one of the biggest talents in English football. The fee would surpass Dortmund's current transfer record – the €30.5m paid for Mats Hummels in 2015.
The Bundesliga club believe their elite youth development framework and ability to offer a clear chance of first team minutes gave them an edge in negotiations, with the club internally believing the midfielder can follow a similar trajectory to Jadon Sancho.

Bellingham has been ever-present for the Blues this season – having made more English league appearances than any player under-17 this century. Manchester United previously made a bid of £30m for Bellingham back in Janaury, but the box-to-box midfielder expressed doubts over wanting to join the Old Trafford club.
With the likes of Gio Reyna, Erling Haaland and Youssoufa Moukoko flourishing and next up in the BVB talent production line, Bellingham would be wise to join one of the most exciting projects in European football and fulfil his huge potential.
