Jadon Sancho is now earning twice the amount he was in 2018/19 after a stellar season at Borussia Dortmund, as the Young Lion continues to progress in his career in the Bundesliga.
According to a new report in Bild, the 19-year-old had his wages tripled to €3 million a year when he signed a new contract until 2022, but has now doubled his yearly wages to €6 million ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Football Observatory have recently ranked Sancho as the fifth most expensive player in world football at £145 million, with Raheem Sterling third on the list with a reported value of £190 million behind Kylian Mbappe (£230m) and Mohamed Salah (£200m).
Sancho has already hit the ground running in this campaign, scoring two goals and making two assists in just three appearances so far. His form has lead to reported interest from the biggest clubs in Europe, with Manchester United linked throughout the summer and Liverpool increasingly linked to a move for the Camberwell-born baller – who could be set for a move back to England next summer.
In other football news, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire have condemned racist abuse directed towards Paul Pogba and demanded Twitter take action.
