Manchester City have launched an investigation into racism after a coach was heard using derogatory language in reference to the club's black players.
According to a report from The Mirror, City's youth scout Dean Ramsdale is alleged to have been caught calling the club's black playing staff "BBQs" – alluding that they're just 'big, black and quick'.
It's reported that Ramsdale made the comments in a meeting between City staff members and two football agents. One of the witnesses later made a formal complaint to the club and as a result, City have launched their own investigation.
Ramsdale was subsequently told his language was unacceptable, while Manchester City sent a letter of apology to those in the meeting while the investigation continues.
