England Women thumped Japan 3-0 to win the SheBelieves Cup for the first time as the Lionesses prepared for next summer’s World Cup in the best way possible.
Lucy Staniforth, Karen Carney and Beth Mead's first-half strikes secured victory for Phil Neville’s side, who then capped off a strong performance with a resolute second half display to win the tournament for the first time ever.

The Lionesses won the round robin tournament with seven points from their three matches to land their first piece of silverware since their Cyprus Cup victory back in 2015.
Victory was the perfect preparation ahead of this summer's World Cup in France, with the Lionesses now facing four home matches, against Canada and Spain in April, Euro 2017 runners-up Denmark in May and New Zealand on Saturday 1 June.
