PSG talisman Kylian Mbappe has called out the “indecent’ amount of money in the modern game.

Mbappé, who became the second most expensive player of all time after joining PSG from Monaco and currently has one of the most lucrative deals in world football, believes that the current amount of money in football is over the top.

Speaking to RTS, the young Frenchman said, “It's truly indecent for me, who comes from a fairly modest family, It's true that it's indecent but the market is like that. The world of football works like that. I'm not going to revolutionise football. I'm in a system. You have to know how to respect it and to stay in place."

Mbappé has previously become known for donating significant amounts of his earnings to charity. This was evidenced at the World Cup, where he donated all of his takings to a foundation that helps hospitalised and disabled children through the power of sport.

Mbappé is currently the deadliest striker in world football at just 19 years of age, where he’s become the leading marksman in Europe’s ‘Top 5’ leagues with 13 goals and 6 assists already for PSG this season and cementing his status as the hottest property in the game.
