Slam Jam designer Giovanni Nordio has teased the latest collaboration between the Italian streetwear brand and England's favourite sportswear manufacturer and it does not disappoint.

Alongside two new versions of the much sought-after masked anorak, Nordio posted images of a new chainmail shirt featuring the iconic double diamond.

The brands' first link up back in March for 'Penalty Culture' was one of the year's most eagerly-anticipated football fashion collabs. The Slam Jam design team reimagined classic Umbro staples for the streetwear world, producing training jackets, laser-etched jeans and the wildly popular anorak.

This time, the collection looks more utilitarian, taking cues from the world of militaria and technical performancewear. Clearly, though, it's not just modern day combat attire on the moodboards of the Nordio brothers. The hero jersey looks to almost medieval: made of heavy knitted chain with the Umbro logo interwoven into the metal.

The collection is the latest in an exciting centenary year for the Double Diamond, following on from their first Slam Jam collab and a re-up of the iconic Palace partnership earlier in 2024. By inviting exciting labels to interpret classic silhouettes, Umbro are managing to reinvent their image into one of football's most forward-thinking fashion brands.

The new collection has no official release yet but, if these images are anything to go by, it could be the best yet.
