AC Milan and PUMA have linked up with Parisian imprint KOCHÉ to create an upcycled capsule collection made of unused football jerseys completely reworked in limited edition.
Dubbed “a celebration of sport, heritage and couture” the Paris meets Milan capsule spotlights influences from the two style capitals that make up AC Milan’s and KOCHÉ’s shared DNA. The fusion is evident in the new collection, which sees KOCHÉ’s distinctive and ambitious design collide with AC Milan’s heritage and innovative nature and PUMA’s sportswear expertise.
Milan ballers Tiémoué Bakayoko and Laura Fusetti front the new collection, which features KOCHÉ Founder and Creative Director Christelle Kocher’s favourite unused AC Milan PUMA jerseys. Those jerseys are reworked with upcycled fabrics and prints from former KOCHÉ seasons, with each garment from the collection redesigned, cut, sewn and embellished into luxe-looking ath-leisure wear.
Bakayoko commented on the unique design created by KOCHÉ: “This is a very cool collection. I love how they were able to mix the iconic red and black of the AC Milan jersey with bold elements of fashion and overall I think the mix works perfectly.”
AC Milan Women player Laura Fusetti added: “This is how you turn a football kit into a trendy outfit! The collection looks great and I love the sustainable aspect of it, with these items being made of upcycled fabrics.”
The AC Milan, KOCHÉ and Puma collection will be officially unveiled during the Paris Fashion Week and will be available for purchase on www.koche.fr on the 28th of February. Get a closer look at the collection via the lookbook below.
