New details have emerged regarding Borussia Dortmund bagsman Erling Haaland's hotly-anticipated move to PUMA next month.

According to a new report, PUMA are ready to drop €8 million-per-season to secure Haaland once his contract with Nike expires at the end of this year – with The Swoosh reportedly only paying him €1 million-per-year currently.

The move would be the latest big switch up from Nike to PUMA from a word-renowned baller following Neymar's high-profile move back in 2020, with Haaland set to become the brand's latest crown jewel to add to a roster that includes Griezmann, Suarez and Reus.

BVB are also set to offer Haaland €16 million-a-year to retain his services as part of a bumper new deal next month that would double his current wages – meaning that he would earn a crazy €24 million-euros-a-year in the future.

As one of the  most lethal men in world football, Haaland has gone from being a Golden Boy to global phenomenon in just a matter of years – making him one of the hottest properties in the game for potential sponsors.

Haaland has always been a Nike boy since his career kicked off, only having strictly donned the Mercurial (Vapor and Superfly), in the past – but now another huge switch from Nike to PUMA looks afoot, following Neymar’s similar brand swap last year.

Haaland’s fellow countryman, Bjorn Gulden, is the CEO of PUMA, and reportedly played a big part in facilitating his move to Dortmund. Speaking to Ruhr Nachrichten a few days ago, Gulden said: "I would like to have him under contract, that can happen. Erling in Puma shoes at BVB - that would be my very favourite combination!"
