Nike just dropped the ‘SoCal’ boot pack celebrating football culture in Southern California, designed in collaboration with some of Cali’s biggest exports – including Alex Morgan and Alyssa Thompson.

Only a handful of women’s players have had boots specially designed for them – Megan Rapinoe, Alexia Putellas, Ada Hegerberg and Aitana Bonmatí to name a few. Even fewer have designed a pair themselves, but Thompson and Morgan were amongst the California-made pros and locals who were called up to rep the Golden State’s unique soccer culture and creativity in these colourful kickers.

The ‘SoCal’ pack includes all-new Phantom and Mercurial boots, arriving in a sleek, white base with retro-inspired graphics decorating the upper. The geometric shapes and patterns add a serious dose of Cali spirit in shades of lilac, pink, blue, green and yellow.

The Swoosh sits in a striking shade of hot pink, with a royal blue outline that looks fresh out of a paint tin. Different SoCal cities are scribbled on the upper in that same shade of blue, from Chula Vista and Exposition Park to Dog Town and Pasadena.
