Recent speculation surrounding Harry Kane’s new boots and Skechers’ return to football has finally been put to bed, with the American footwear brand unveiling its first pair of boots in an all-new football range.
Kane and the newly created Skechers Football account posted a video on Instagram, captioned ‘The wait is over!!’ The Bayern striker is featured in and narrates the video, showing off a bold pair of boots from Skechers’ Prime pack.
The SKX_01 boots are a striking shade of blue – a stark contrast to the black and white versions Kane has been spotted wearing. The upper features an ombré effect, with the electric blue gradually fading into a lighter shade from heel to toe. A radial design and small, spiked details add texture while increasing touch and control.
The Skechers logo and studs arrive in neon yellow, and the outsole is a holographic purple and blue colour combination. The version Kane wears in the video features a traditional low collar. However, the Skechers website includes images of an alternative design with a high collar that covers the ankle.
Though this isn’t Skechers’ first rodeo when it comes to making football boots, this time the brand looks ready to compete with the best. Merging comfort with advanced technology, Skechers is ready to take football by storm.
The boots are scheduled to drop on 8 September, but are available to pre-order on the Pro:Direct Soccer website.
