Amsterdam-based fashion brand Daily Paper returned to Ghana for their annual football tournament which aims to unite their creative community and celebrate collaboration.
The previous two tournaments have been hosted at a local football pitch the brand built alongside PUMA in 2017 but this year's tournament took place at The infamous Accra Sports Stadium.
The pitch was built to support development of sport amongst young footballers in Ghana whilst empowering local communities with safe spaces.
Returning teams for the third edition of the tournament included African creatives and athletes such as Free The Youth and Melanin Unscripted alongside new competitors such as Too Loud Ent, Smallgod and Eunice Beckmann. All were kitted out with bespoke kits designed in collaboration with Daily Paper and PUMA.
Native Mag who were captained by Afrobeats Artist Teezee, left the tournament victorious whist the event was quintessential of Daily Paper’s outreach in Ghana.
December has become a celebration in West Africa with large amounts of the diaspora travelling home for Christmas. The tournament brought out local and international faces such as Vic Mensa, Michael Dapaah, Eddie Kadi, Referee Somo and more.
