Thierry Henry handed Jonathan Panzo his debut start for Monaco last night and the 18-year-old repaid his faith with a clean sheet.

Playing the full 90 minutes at left back against Lorient in testing conditions, Panzo secured Monaco the victory in the Coupe de la Ligue game after making the bench for the Ligue 1 side in the last five games.

Panzo became the latest English player to seek more minutes by moving to a foreign league when joined Monaco from Chelsea in the summer on a five year deal. He'll now be looking to secure his spot in the Monaco starting XI under Henry for the rest of the season and follow in the footsteps of fellow Young Lions Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson, who are both now established first team players at Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim respectively.

In other Young Lion news, Mason Greenwood scored a stunning hat-trick to knock Chelsea out of the FA Youth Cup
